Yan D Soloh
Yan D. Soloh,artiste confirmé, autodidacte, bourlingueur, musicien, se consacre exclusivement à la peinture depuis le tournant du siècle.
Il a à son actif de nombreuses expositions, entre autres à Montréal, à Québec.qc et aux Etas-Unis. Cet artiste émergeant s’est fait remarquer par de nombreux
collectionneurs tant public...s que privés, au Québec, au Canada ,en France, au Brésil et aux États-Unis.
De la lecture de ses oeuvres se dégagent plusieurs influences thématiques rappelant le
surréalisme de Dali, l’onirisme mystique de Bosch, l’expressionnisme angoissé de Munch et l’iconographie religieuse de Chagall.

Eric Bolduc
Ma pratique repose sur une production de cahiers d'artistes où dessins et collages côtoient une écriture intimiste, quasi-automatique. Le format du livre me permet d’apprivoiser l'invisible en juxtaposant l’esthétique et l’ésotérique, la vérité et le secret. Depuis une douzaine d'année, je développe une réflexion graphique portant sur l’identité des corps physique, émotionnel et symbolique de l’être humain. Mon univers personnel, centré sur une mythologie éclectique, tend vers l'inconscient collectif. J’approfondis récemment mon intérêt pour l'anatomie interne (muscles, squelette, organes) et spirituelle (chakras, enveloppes auriques, animaux totems).

My practice is centered on the production of sketchbooks where drawings and collages live next to an intimist, almost automatic, writing. The book format allow me to flirt with the invisible by juxtaposing the aesthetic and the esoteric, truths and secrets. For more than 10 years now, I developed a graphic reflection about the identity of the physical, emotional and symbolic bodies of the human being. My personal world, based on an eclectic mythology, reaches the collective unconscious. Lately, I have been mostly focusing on internal anatomy (muscles, skeleton, organs) as well as spiritual anatomy (chakras, auras, totem animals).

Il y a un bail que le Québec s’est libéré de sa camisole de force face aux principes sexuels : au moins deux générations ont vécu la révolution sexuelle résultant de la renonciation de l’hypocrisie de l’église Catholique. Toutefois, les images positives, représentatives, et inspirés de sentiments amoureux sont difficiles à trouver.
Vingt-sept artistes québécois expriment leurs sentiments et opinions sur l’érotisme, la romance, l’amour et la sexualité avec l’exposition multidisciplinaire « L’ART CHAUD ». La soirée du vernissage promet photographie, peinture, spoken word, musique, poésie et quelques surprises stimulantes à découvrir ..
L’exposition présentera, entre autres, les œuvres de Bernice Sorge, artiste résidente d’ELAN (English Language Arts Network) ici à Montréal ; Jenny Schade, artiste de la relève ayant participé à Fresh Paint and New Construction l’an dernier chez Art Mûr ; Éric Bolduc, artiste, rédacteur et éditeur du blog ratsdeville ainsi que Yan D. Soloh, peintre recherché autodidacte.

Hot Art: Explorations in Erotica
Quebec has long shrugged off its strait-jacket on traditional sexual mores; at least two generations have gyrated their way through the sexual revolution that followed in the wake of the public renunciation of the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church. Yet positive, broadly representative, love-inspired sexual imagery can still be hard to find.
Twenty seven Quebec artists will express their feelings and thoughts on eroticism, romanticism, love, and sexuality in an evening of art and poetry entitled Hot Art: Explorations in Erotica. The opening event will be held on May 20th, from 6 to 9 pm, at Espace les neuf soeurs (1900 Wellington), once the Bank of Montreal in Pte- Ste-Charles.
The exhibition will be up from May 18th to the 31st and will feature photography, painting, music, poetry, short fiction, as well as some stimulating erotic surprises to be revealed at the show’s opening.
The exhibit will showcase twenty Quebec-based visual artists, including Bernice Sorge, ELAN’s (English Language Arts Network) artist-in-residence, Jenny Schade, emerging Concordia artist featured as part of Art Mur’s Fresh Paint and New Construction, Eric Bolduc, artist, editor and writer for Montreal art-blog ratsdeville and Yan D. Soloh, internationally-exhibited emerging painter.
Marco Armando, Duplessis, Colette Coughlin, Tina Korkeasalo, and Alejandro Savaria will present poetry and short prose in the language of love.
